Knowledge of corrugated cardboard

Corrugated cardboard is made by bonding face paper, innerpaper, core paper and corrugated

paper processed into corrugated corrugated. According to the needs of commodity packaging, corrugated cardboard can be processed into

single-sided corrugated cardboard, three-layer corrugatedcardboard, five-layer,

seven-layer, eleven-layer and other corrugated cardboard.

        Corrugated boards with different corrugated shapes have different functions of bonded corrugated cardboard. Even if the same quality of face paper and inner paper isused, due to

the difference in flute shape, the performance of the formed corrugated cardboard is also different. There are four commonly used corrugated shapes in the world, they are A-type flute, C-type flute, B-type flute and E-typeflute. See Table 1 for their technical indicators and requirements. Type Astare blankly made of corrugated board has good buffer, A degree of elasticity, C going A while at A type A. But the stiffness and impact resistance is better than that of type A stare blankly. But the stiffness and impact resistance arebetter than

A-type flute; B-type flute has a large arrangement density,

and thecorrugated board made of it has a smooth

surface and high bearing pressure,which is suitable for printing;

E-type flute is thin and dense, and it showsits rigidity. strength.

        The difference between container and non-container is mainly in the outer diameterand is closely related to the type of corrugation.

The following table willlist the relationship between the inner diameter specification,

manufacturing specification and outer diameter specification of the carton in detail:

        Measurementmethod of corrugated box manufacturing size


        The manufacturing size of the carton is the blanking size when making the box. The manufacturing size is based on the crimping line on the unfolded box blank. The creasing roller on the slitting machine presses out a groove at the position ofthe creasing line,

and the creasing line is the center line of the groove. The distance between the two crimping lines is the manufacturing size. Converting manufacturing dimensions to ID and OD dimensions can be done quickly with Table2, but each has its own measurement method.

        In themanufacturing process of corrugated cartons, there are single and double fights

        One-pageforming box is one-page forming box, which is generally used for cartons with smaller circumference; double-assembling is also called two-page box. There maining materials cut during the process are also used to piece together acarton that is not too large in size with two pieces, and sometimes even fourpieces are used. Compared with the one-page box, the two-page box has one more joint, so there are some subtle differences in the area calculation between the two.

        Splices andreturn wire

        The manufacturing size of the carton joint is determined according to the number of corrugated layers and the production process level. The single corrugated cardboard is 35 ~ 40mm, the double corrugated cardboard is 45 ~ 50mm, and the triple corrugated cardboard is 50mm.

        When calculating the unfolded area of the carton, the loss of the waste wire during the manufacturing process must be taken into account. The size of the waste wire isdetermined   according to the number of cardboard layers, generally 20 ~ 40mm.

        In order tofacilitate the calculation in actual work, the rule of adding "8" and"4" is uniformly adopted, that is, the sum of joints and loops in the horizontal direction is set as 8cm, and the sum of loops in the long itudinaldirection is set as 4cm.
